Meanwhile, the hotel’s RESTAURANT, much patronized by the local landed Alentejo Families, was created downstairs out of the original horse barn.
Adega do Refúgio
Sofia loves food and cooking and the local village residents have shared with her their traditional family recipes, some over 400 years old. She has also researched the ancient menus of the Portuguese royalty and nearly every meal taught in the classes and served in the Restaurant has some historical connection.
